Candy Tin Box Packaging

Illustrations created to go on the packaging of this new candy store's own line of candy.

PROMPT

AusSam Candy is a candy store in Granda Hills which had their branding created by IntersectLA. One of the things that this client needed was a design for their candy tin boxes. Because their store’s theme is based on adventure, they wanted a design that went with this subject. Their idea was to have postcards portraying Granada Hills and AusSam Candy in the lids of these boxes.

IDEATION

I created two sketches of the concepts that exemplified the client’s vision. They ended up liking both sketches so I proceeded with rendering each of them in different styles.

RESULT

For the horizontal postcard, I live traced several images of Granada Hills and included these in my vector rendering of this composition. For the vertical postcard, I drew a side view of the candy store in front of the iconic clock from Granada hills, using textured brushes.
